Ben Moore

Ben Moore (MCIfA)

Ben is a fully accredited Member of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists, and has worked as a professional Archaeologist for over 23 years, specialising in the excavation of human remains and landscape survey and interpretation.

Ben has trained undergraduate and post-graduate students as well as professional archaeologists for many field schools and research projects run by the McDonald Institute for Archaeological Research, Newcastle University and the British School at Athens amongst others.

He has worked in the UK, France, Greece and Spain and managed and supervised many projects and undertaken searches for and excavations of clandestine graves, cremated remains and occasionally entire cemeteries, as well as inhumations dating between the Bronze Age and the modern day.

He has excavated and recorded human remains at recent crime scenes, undertaken exhumations as well as searched for missing persons related to cold case investigations and is employed by Alecto Forensic Services as their Senior Archaeologist and Surveyor.
